Waldorf.pixMail is a .Net assembly for sending email via SMTP that can be included in your own applications.
It came in to being because of some of the shortcomings of Microsofts MailMessage class. That class is fine for sending plain text emails - but you cant embed images when sending HTML.
I started this project because I couldnt find a suitable replacement that was free (i.e. in my budget!). There are a few really good commercial components out there but they were out of my price league, especially as I only needed a subset of their functionality. As Id just been working on sending MIME formatted emails with PHP I thought Id have a crack at writing a .Net assembly to do the same.
